Don't forget your water bottles and sunscreen as you hit the lakes, rivers and creeks. The water's reflection seems to like to help the sun in its constant attempts to turn us all bright red and leave us sadly remembering the trip. Remember life jackets for the kids if you are fishing from a boat!

REPORT AS OF 7/19/10

Winner of our recent 4th of July derby was a 3lb. 10 oz. rainbow caught by Im O'Mohundro from Ranch Cucamonga using a rainbow Trophy stick. Nine year old Weslex Hall from Lincoln landed a 2 lb. 9 oz. rainbow with a Panther Martin. A red and gold Thomas worked for Mike Sierrakowski from Gardnerville for his 3 lb. 8 oz. rainbow. Catch of the week belongs to Dave McCllellan of Pollock Pines who used a numph for his 4 & 3/4 lb. rainbow, but unfortunately, he was not entered into our derby. (Still a nice sized fish!!)
